Chapter Five:

Some Quick Treats


Do you like pancakes? Well do I have a treat for you. First start off with washing your hands and put back your hair. Next get a bowl and get the pancake mix and any add-ons, also you need 1 cup of water, ¼ cup of any vegetable oil, and two eggs. Then, heat a medium pan over medium heat and spray the pan with cooking spray. After, put two tablespoons of the batter on the pan then add your add-ons on top. Finally, let it cook for 2 minutes on each side serve while warm. Enjoy!

Also here is how to make a luscious  lemon pound cake what you need is 2 cups of flour, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon baking powder,1 cup of butter,11/2 of sugar, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon lemon extract, Zest of 1 lemon,1 cup of milk room temperature and ice cream and fresh berries (optional). For the materials you need: 9x5 inch loaf pan, zester, measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowls whisks, mixer and beaters, spatula, wooden skewers, oven mitts and a cooling rack. First, grease the pan then set it aside and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next, whisk together the flour baking powder and salt. Then in a different bowl mix the butter and sugar mix until light and fluffy. After, put in eggs one at a time then mix again then mix in the lemon  extract and the lemon zest. Add about one third of the flour mix and about one third of the milk, then blend until mixed thoroughly and keep repeating that process until it is all blended thoroughly. Then pour the batter into your pan then bake 60 to 75 minutes. Let it cool for 30 minutes on a cooling rack to serve cut it one inch thick. Finally serve with ice cream and berries. Enjoy!
