If you have a different color, kind or shape of backgammon you can return it and get a new one, or you can learn how to play it a different way because some backgammon sets are different. Some can be from a different continent or country where they make it differently you can play it a different way. It doesn’t matter how you play it I have seen different backgammon boards before and other people playing it like that. I even saw it a different color on the inside. There is even a backgammon electronic that I heard of. Also you could use something like YouTube to find a different way to play backgammon.
