With You Again  

“She shoots… She Scores!” The announcer shouts.

“Bzzz” The scoreboard went. Alex’s team had won, 13 to 8. Alex made the last shoot and everyone had cheered her on! Her team picked her up on their shoulders. Alex didn’t always get to do this. Now she got to move on to the tournament.

“Beep! Beep! Beep!” What is that? Everyone thought.

“Beep! Beep” Alexandra opened her eyes. Her mom was at her door.

“That was going off awhile, Alex. Get up, it’s morning!” She left and closed the door. Alex groaned, she hated getting up. “Beep! Beep! Beep!” Went her alarm clock. Alex ignored it and tried to sleep.

“Honey, turn it off!” Yelled her mom. Alex groaned again and whacked her alarm clock. She hopped off her bed. Alex got dressed and looked in her mirror. She had bright orange hair with small brown highlights. Her hair was long, curly and puffy. Her eyes were a chocolate brown. She has orange colored braces. She combed her hair to make it a tiny bit more puffy. She met her bff Olivia Heart and they got on the bus for school.

Alex just got home from school. She saw her mom and dad talking, and it looked important.

“...But, what would Alex think” Her dad said.

“What would I think about, what?” Alex asked entering the room.

“Nothing,” Her mom quickly replied.

“I know something’s up, I just don’t know what” Alex said sassily.

“Well, we uhh, kinda have to move, um, to Africa.” Her mom sighed. Alex looked calm, in fact she looked so calm it almost looked like something strange was happening, she was only like for about 3 seconds, though. Then her face got red, redder, and redder, until Alex's face was a pure blood red.

“What!” She screamed. “Not now!!!! WWWWHHHHYYYY!!!!!!”

“It’s just, we have to, I got a new job and so did dad!” Her mom furiously yelled at her.

“Ugh!” Alex grumbled as she stormed up to her room and slammed the door.

“I told you she’d do that.” Her dad exclaimed. Meanwhile, Alex’s brothers and sisters asked her why she screamed, so Alex told her, they didn’t like the news either.

Whats and nooos were screamed and their parents heard them and sighed.

The next day at school, Alex was quiet the whole day when she talked she mumbled. No one really talked to her that day, Alex thought Via (Olivia) might make her feel better.

“Attention students of Melody Middle School,” the announcements started, “Last chances to sign up for the singing pageant” The announcements buzzed off. It was the end of the day and Alex thought she might find her bff, Olivia signing up. Alex sprinted over, while she was heading over, she saw Via heading over.

Alex ran over to her, “Hey Via” She exclaimed. Via got startled and jumped a little before realising it was Alex.

“Hey Alex” Via replied.

“We should get together sometime soon” Alex mentioned. Alex’s eyes got a teeny bit wet. She wiped them with her arm.

Via suddenly noticing Alex was acting different than usually asked, “What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?” She repeated.

¨Um… uh… well… I’m uh… Moving¨ Alex answered looking down.

“ẄHAT!!!” Via screamed turning pale.

“Uh… yeah” Alex whispered. Via was devastated.

“Sure we’ll hang out sometime soon” Via squeaked trying to hide her pain.

“KK” Alex replied also trying to hide her pain.

“Remember to pack EVERYTHING!” Alex’s mom exclaimed.

“Not like i’d WANT to leave anything” mumbled Alex. Atleast I have lots of travel bags from previous moves, thought Alex.

Alex leaped over to her white phone with orange flowers, and quickly dialed her bff Olivia's number…

“Hello?” A deep voice grumbled.

“Topher is that you? This is Alex,” answered Alex.

“Olivia!” He yelled.

“What!” She snapped from her room.

“It’s Alex come down or i’ll hang up!” He yelled. Just great, Alex thought.

“Don’t hang up!” She screamed running down her long, twisty staircase. Thump. Thump.

“5,” Topher started counting down. Thump. Thump. Thump.

“4” He was getting farther. Olivia started sprinting down her stairs.

“3” Topher started to speed up the count, as Via started racing through the house avoiding things.

“2” Topher quickly said.

“I’m here!” Via screeched.

“1. Too late” He hung up, relieved he didn’t have to hand her the phone. Via was steaming mad. Alex was stunned by her call. She quickly snapped out of it, and continued to pack. About 10 minutes later, Alex’s phone rang. She ignored it and kept packing, she was almost done.

The message started “Hello? This is Via, is Al” Alex picked it up. “Ex,” She finished her sentence.

“EXedra” Alex blurted out.

“So Alex, you wanted to talk to me” Via said.

“Yeah… uh, well… I just found out, umm… we’re moving… in a… um, a week.” Alex stampered.

“Ok well… IN A WEEK!” Via started breathing hard.

“Woah, woah, woah. Calm down. Ok?” Alex said calmly. Via stopped after about 2 minutes.

“Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!” Ruffles barked.

“Ruffles is that you?” Via asked.

“Ruff,” barked Ruffles hearing Via’s voice.

Ruffles was a husky and practically a new born puppy. He was super friendly and loved to play, though he got a bit rough, sometimes.

“Yeah, ok so how about this weekend?” Via asked.

“Hey twirps!” Axel walked into the room. Axel was Alex’s twin so they had to share a room. Luckily Alex was older so she got top bunk. By now Ruffles had made up the steps of the bunk bed and was sleeping on Alex’s pillow.

“Great” Alex mumbled into the phone.

“Ugh” Via added.

“Get OUT!” Alex yelled.

“My room too,” Axel mentioned, “Is that Olivia on the phone?”

“Goodbye” Via whispered quickly. She HATED conversations with Axel.

“Bye” Alex replied knowing her friend.

A week passed, they had their sleepover at Alex’s house so they’d remember it. Then it was the day. The day that would change their lives, forever.

Alex’s family had to move AGAIN.

“Vrrrrrrooooom!” We drove off. Alex’s family of 9. Emily (Emmy, 5). Andie (7). Alex and Axel (11). Dante (13). Kailey (16). Mack (18). Mom (37) and Dad (39). They all got crammed into 1 car. They decided to use 3 cars, mom’s, dad’s, and Mack’s. Kailey, Dante, Alex, and of course Mack in Mack’s car. Axel and mom. Andie, Emily, and Dad. Of we went. I luckily was placed in Mack’s car after winning a game of rock, paper, scissors. Mack’s car has a tv for every seat! Axel was UNlucky, he was in mom’s car, long, boring talks for him. HA!

After about 15 minutes we got to the airport. We just bought our tickets and our cars were in the plane.

“Bzzzz! Last call for plane 07” the buzzer announced.

“That’s us!” Mom exclaimed. Kailey gave Emmy a piggy-back ride and dad held Andie’s hand so they’d catch up. They got on the plane quickly. They took up 2 whole rows! It was an overnight flight. Alex was sitting with Kailey, Axel and Dante, Mack and Andie, and mom and dad and Emmy on mom’s lap. Alex tried to call Olivia but there was no signal.

The next day Alex woke up, looked out the window and saw endless ocean, she felt us going down slowly then faster, Alex thought they were crashing and got nervous.

“Bzzz! Make sure you’re buckled we’re about to land.” The announcer said. We tumbled down. When we landed we drove all the way home.

Home….

Home was a countryside… Home was a farm. The house was HUGE though.

“I got you some presents” Dad mentioned “We’ll open them later though.” The house was basically a mansion. It was a light yellow shade. Mom showed us to our rooms. Mack had the biggest, Kailey the next biggest. Me and Dante had the same size but we didn't share a room, we had the third biggest room size. Axel and Andie shared the next biggest, and Emmi had her own room, it was the smallest room, though.

Alex marched up to her room and locked the door. She grabbed her phone and quickly dialed Via’s number.

“Beep” Alex knew Via only picked up on the second beep. “Beep”

“Hello?” A sweet voice answered.

“Via! I’m so glad to hear you!” Alex exclaimed.

“Alex!?OMG!!! I miss you” Via squealed. “How’s the new house? Is it big? Do you have your own room?”  She asked quickly.

“Big?” Alex laughed. “Not even close! Humungus is more like it! And I finally have my own room! Third biggest” Alex proclaimed proudly.

“Awesome!” Via said.

“Dad said we get presents,” I mention.

“Cool!” Via said.

“Tell you when I get them?” I asked.

“Deal!” She claimed excitedly.

“Deal!” I agreed, and hung up. Alex ran down her stairs. “Now!?” She asked.

“Ok” Dad said.

We opened our presents.Alex got a brand new iphone, white with orange flowers. A laptop with an A in orange sparkles, a skateboard that she could decorate. Also a chestnut-colored pony. Alex told Olivia right after that remembering her deal. She also gave Via good luck for the singing pageant. Via had always had a pretty voice. Alex missed Olivia. Alot!

The next day, the family went to the barn to meet the animals. They had 5 chickens, 1 rooster, 13 chicks, 2 ducks, 7 ducklings, 8 pigs, 17 piglets, 3 cows, 4 calfs, 5 horses, 6 foals, 3 sheep, and 9 lambs. And Alex’s pony, Chestnut.

Alex’s iphone rang. She picked it up. “Hello?” Alex answered sweetly.

“Hi! Is this Alex Calder?” Replied a voice Alex new well. Alex realised who just called her.

“Olivia!” Alex squealed.

“Yep!” Via exclaimed.

“So why’d ya call?” Alex asked.

“Can you come to the Gomez concert in about 1 hour 15 minutes?”

“Sure!!! But, why?” Alex asked.

“You’ll see…” Via said mysteriously.

“Should I ask my parents first?” Alex questioned.

“Yeah ok,” Via replied. Alex quickly asked her parents if she could go. They of course said yes.

“I’ll come early” Alex exclaimed.

“Great see you there!” Via replied.

45 minutes Later

“Ok, i’m going to the Gomez concert” Alex exclaimed.

“I’ll do anything to come with you” Axel yelled “I’ll give you my diary!” Axel quickly put his hands over his mouth so she wouldn’t hear, but it was too late.

“You have a diary?” Alex curiously questioned. Alex gave him a strange look.

“Uhh-um” Axel stampered.

“Hand it over or you’re NOT coming!”

“Why is that?” Axel asked wondering how he wouldn’t go.

“I’m paying! Plus I kinda stole all your money and am USING it,” Alex sneakily said. Alex wasn’t actually paying cause Via gave her two backstage passes, but she did steal Axel’s money.

“HEY! That’s MINE! So technically I’m paying. HA!” Axel claimed proudly.

“Mine now” Alex said expertly.

“Ugh. Fine.” Axel finally surrendered, and gave Alex the diary. His diary was a rosey-pink color with a fairy princess on the front. They had to hurry to get front row seats. Alex skated on her new skateboard, while Axel ran trying to catch up. Alex beat him there.

“Beat ya” Alex exclaimed as Axel reached the spot. They charged into the line. Luckily we were the first ones there so we “bought” our tickets and got the best seats. Alex got out her GIANT sign that Via told to write “You And Me Forever” on it. While they were waiting for the show to start Alex scanned through the diary thoroughly, until finally she got to the back and the section- as Axel called it- “Secret Crushes.” Alex quickly scanned through all the blaaaaas to make it dramatic but he failed for that to happen. She finally got to the crushes area she began. “My super secret crushes are… Katie Fare, Ann Slur. And most of all… Olivia Heart!!!” Once Alex got to that part she cracked up, then suddenly she stopped. “I’m going to show Olivia” She teased. Axel tried frantically to grab the diary. Since Alex was older she held him back. The lights started to turn on and off quickly as the last few people hurried to find a seat, then the lights turned completely off. The crowd got silent. The spotlights turned on and shown on a figure. That figure was… Selena Gomez.

“Welcome to the Gomez concert!” Selena exclaimed excitedly, “We have a duet tonight! With two winners of singing pageants, “From Melody Middle School in Florida, Olivia heart!” Olivia walked on stage and a spotlight shown on her. “And from”... Alex stop paying attention when Axel took the diary back and was about to hide it. Alex grabbed it Back furiously and put it on the other side of her, where Axel wouldn’t be able to reach. …”Erin Blue!” Selena walked off stage with a bow so the girls could start their songs. Alex and Axel listened in again but didn’t hear where she was from. The crowd cheered loudly when both girls went up on stage. The two girls started to sing, camera people started to film on new, LIVE.

“Just me and you!” They finished their last song. Olivia had just realised that right there in the front row was Alex holding the biggest sign that read “You And Me Forever!!!” Of course Axel was there tackling Alex for some sort of book, maybe a journal. The concert ended and Olivia and Erin walked off stage. Meanwhile, since Alex was Olivia’s bff she was on the news and she told the world how glad she was that she could see her bff again. Once they stopped filming her she and Axel ran backstage to see Olivia Olivia didn’t see Alex coming to tackle her with Axel trailing behind her. SMACK! Alex tackled Olivia to the ground.

“Hahaha!” Via laughed used to it. Alex flipped to the page “Secret Crushes,” handed Olivia the diary and pointed to the spot to start reading. Via read it, and Axel blushed.

“Omg! What the heck Axel!!!” She exclaimed. “Anyway… on the less weird side of that, I have something for you.”

“For ME?’ Axel questioned a bit excited.

“What? No. For Alex, duh” Via snapped “Why would I have something for YOU? Eww!” Via added disgustedly. Axel looked down, embarrassed he mentioned it.

“So what is it? Alex asked suspiciously. Alex thought of lots of things she might get from Olivia.

Suddenly she heard a purring sound coming from a blanket covered bow-like thing, with a big red bow on it. Alex looked at it curiously. “Is this-” She said but was interrupted.

“Yes!” Via excited. She raced over to it while Alex and Axel followed. She started to pull of the blanket then she thought Alex should do it so she placed it back on. “You want to?” She asked. Alex shook her head, as if to say no. “Are you sure?” Via asked “Last chance.”

“I’m sure” Alex replied as Via started to lift the blanket. Once it was fully off. Alex couldn’t keep herself still once she saw it.

“Awesome!” Axel mentioned as Alex raced over to it. The box-like thing was a cage and in that cage were three baby tigers. Each one had an orange collar on it.

“So what are you going to name them?” Via questioned, as she watched Axel sneak closer to her, step-by-step.

Alex thought for a bit. She pointed to the smaller one “Icecream” The other two were the same size and they all were different colors, one orange, one black, and Icecream was white. She pointed to the orange one “Banana” and the black one “Fudge.” Then Alex sw another box-like thing that was a bit bigger with a blanket on it. “What’s that for?” She asked.

“Well, we’ll have the names on the tigers collars in a week” Via added. “Oh yeah. I forgot about that.” Via suddenly had an idea. “AXEL!!!” She exclaimed. “You wanted something?”

“Uh. Yeah?” He asked suspiciously.

“Well then, here” She went over to other box and lifted the blanket. In there was an adult tiger, specifically the baby tigers mom. “Alex is still naming her though”

“Cherry” Alex exclaimed quickly. “And together they're the… banana split sunday!” Alex mentioned.

“They’re already tamed, so they’ll listen to me and Alex, not Axel though.” Via giggled.

“HEY!” Axel boomed.

“Axel.” Via smiled.

“What?” Axel asked curiously.

“Ready?” Via said about to open the tiger cage, and whispered to the mom tiger, “come out!” “Rustle Rustle” The cage opened.

“For what!?” Axel replied nervously to Via’s “ready?”

“ROAR!!!” The tiger mommy screeched, as she pounced on Axel digging her claws into his skin just a bit. Alex and Via cracked up.

“Okay, okay, Cherry that’s enough” Via said hoping Cherry wouldn’t kill Axel, already knowing his parents would kill HER! Maybe not literally but still! Cherry grunted already knowing her name very quickly. Via got Sunday to go back in her cage she needed some help from Alex though. “Alex, im staying for 2 months and a half” Via added, “So i’ll be here awhile!”

Axel walked up to Via “Want to come to my birthday party?” He asked.

“Uhh- sure?” Via said “but only cause it’s also Alex’s birthday party too.”

“I love you!” Axel breathed as quick as he could. (It was pretty fast so don’t get any ideas.)

“Wait what?” Via questioned.

“Nothing!” Axel stated. Alex and Via looked at each other.

“So do you want to stay at my house?” Alex asked, trying to change the subject, while Axel went home alone.

“Sure” Via replied happily. They went home on Alex’s skate board and Via’s motor powered scooter. When they got home they hung out in Alex room. Once they’re B-day party came around about 10 people came not including Alex, Via, Axel. Most of them were girls but some were boys, they were all on their street “Tiger rainbowz lane.” Axel acted strange the whole time. Some people slept over, the boys slept downstairs cause Axel shared a small room. Alex, Via and the other girls still had the diary so they took turns reading out loud. Then they all had to leave in the morning so they said goodbye and they all left except Via. “That was awesome!” Via mentioned when they left.

“Yeah!” Alex added. Axel followed them while they walked into Alex’s room, Once they got there Alex shoved him out and locked the door.

“Hey!” He shouted from the other side of the door.

“WHAT!? I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” Alex joked. Via jumped up and down on the bed, until Alex was done pretending. They plugged in Alex’s Ipod and turned it on full volume, while they danced, they also had the flat screen tv that was plugged into Alex’s wide open wall. They started jumping on Alex’s trampoline bed. Alex started turning on all things that were loud, so they actually, partly couldn’t hear him. They started dance-jumping on her trampoline bed while laughing.

“I’m SO glad you’re older than by…” Via asked.

“11 WHOLE minutes” Alex interrupted.

“Yeah that!” Via added. They hopped off her bed and raced over to her disco dance floor, Alex grabbed a remote and pressed a bright silver button. Once she did a rainbow colored disco ball came out. She pressed another button, and HUGE speakers came out. They must of been 10 feet high!

“HEY!” Axel screamed through the door but it was almost impossible to hear him but of course Alex heard him. She opened the door but blocked anyways for him to get past.

“What!” She barked.

“Why are you partying with out me? It’s my birthday too! You know, April 19th.” He exclaimed suddenly getting a little upset.

“UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Alex said, annoyed. “Fine, infact the whole family should party with us! Except mom and dad!” Alex added. Sh invited everyone to come into her room to party but when mom came up (dad was actually aloud in) Alex told her no because it was a KID ONLY party but dad left really early. And so they rest of the time (most of it, anyway) they partied!!! Or had fun.
