Chess Pieces

To play chess you need a lot of pieces. You need 8 pawns, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 1 king, and 1 queen. All of those pieces are very unique. All of the pawns go into the front row the king, queen, knights, bishops, and rooks go behind the pawns. The pawn can only go forward  and take pieces diagonally. Diagonal is when the piece moves forward and sideways. The bishop can only move diagonally. The rook can only move and take sideways and move in any number of spaces in any direction forward. The king can only move one space in any direction. The knight can jump pieces. The queen is the best piece because the queen can move in any direction and in any number of spaces.
