Emily S.

Hershey Park 2014

“MMMMMNNNA!!!” I groaned after being in the car for 5 hours and 12 minutes with nothing to do. The world around me was a bright and warm Summer Wednesday afternoon. I was waiting impatiently for my Mother to finish checking in. When she finally finished checking in she said we are in Reese’s 17. When we finally found Reese's 17 We got to our room and we changed into our swim suits.
(Reese’s 17 is a room code, it would take me HOURS to explain it to you so I just stuck with that.)

Someone told that the pool was closed and will be closed thirty minutes after the rain storm. We explored the hotel and then we went out to the pool, it felt cool on that hot summer day. We went in the pool with my Dad and my Mother was sitting by the poolside with my baby brother in the cool shade. We were there for about 20 minutes. After that I called Emma I said Hi and I wanted to let her know I was in Hershey Park so she would not call for a playdate.

When we approached our room my Mom made me take a dreadful shower to get the chlorine out of my hair. The bad thing is I forgot to put conditioner in my hair so afterwards it was really hard to brush so my mom had to brush it for me. I put on a long white and black tie-dye skirt with a lace ivory colored shirt. I managed to put my hair in a low side pony.

We went to Dinner at Harvest and I wasn’t that hungry so I colored a picture for a while and once I tried my dad’s creamed spinach I loved it so my mom ordered a bowl of creamed spinach just for me! After we were finished eating, we went to check out the amusement park.We went on this :How to make chocolate ride” which was a little boring.  First we went on the Trailblazer we went on it 3 times in a row #AWESOME!!!

Then we went on some easy going rides and then I broke out my roller coaster side. We went on the new roller coaster and then my sister pointed out a high ride called the wild Mouse my sister went on it first I said “you can but I won’t!” #TO SCARED!!!

It was late and the lightning filled the sky with a huge glow. We hopped on the bus. When we got to our room I along with my dad, brother and sister passed out on the bed and we left my mom to do everything for tomorrow. I put on an old T shirt that was way too long to be a regular shirt. I passed out on the bed I did not want to sleep on. I was stuck with my dad for the night. I got up about three times that night, shaking my dad to STOP snoring.

I was so tired the next day. I stayed in bed until 7:30 but I was not tired to ride almost every roller coaster in hershey park! #not tired:)

The first ride I went on was the comet! It looked really big and at first I was too scared but my dad and I went on together.I breathed in and out over and over. My hands were so sweaty I couldn’t feel them. My heart was racing and my toes were tingling. The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy!

Once we got on the ride I said “Here we go!” I buried my head in to my dad’s inner elbow I felt the roller coaster go up, up, up, before I knew it we were going DOWN! I screamed so loud after my throat really hurt. After the ride was over I said  “I think I’m gonna be sick.” holding my stomach and making a face. There was absolutely no way I was going to be sick on roller coaster day!

There was this water ride that was like a roller coaster and it was called the coal cracker… It turned out to be not what I expected. There was this big drop at the end my belly went up (of course) I got a little wet but it was ok to me! My Mom made me go on it AGAIN with my dad.

Then we rode on the cars the seats were burning hot I tried to drive but it was hard. My ankle was stretching, the next time I went on my mom drove which was a lot easier that left me to sit back and enjoy the ride! Then we went on the trailblazer more! (Man I loved that ride!) Then we went to lunch and while my mom was ordering subway I wanted to get splashed by a ride that could splash you.

I stood in a spot to get splashed. I really needed to get cooled off. As the ride was coming down I was ready! I held my breath and closed my eyes 3, 2, 1, I was splashed! I didn’t go on any crazy rides after because I didn’t want to throw up.

We went on the fun slide and then we went on a snow roller coaster. That night my dad won this huge-life sized Hershey stuffed animal. It was awesome! The next day was our last day. :( We went to breakfast at this place called Hershey grill. I had the best egg and tomato omelette and white toast ever! With a fruit salad of course. Then we went to the pool it was fun! I knew that this was my favorite summer ever!

It was a LONG ride home. even longer than the ride here and it was the 4th of July we were supposed to go to my Aunt’s 4th of July party. I mean really long. On the way back we stopped at Wendy’s and for the last 20 minutes my brother was SCREAMING not just “ah, ah ah!!!” I mean like “WWHHHAAHHHHH!!!!!” We were watching Mary Poppins and my sister had to sit in the front passenger seat.

Once we got home I said “FREEEEEE!!” because I was trapped in that small-big car (at least it felt SMALL to me) I changed into a blue dress and got in the car again to go to my Aunt’s 4th of July Party.

I played with my cousins for a while and I was expecting someone to say We have to go, school tomorrow. But, HA get this it was Summer and Summer is the greek name for no-school! (I think) We had dinner and then we sung a lot! I was exhausted from that day and right when I got home.

 I was sound asleep in 10 minutes…
