The Tree Is Weak

  I think the tree is weak  because it never believed in itself. It always believed about others and people it likes, like the boy. Als,o it is so weak that every page, it leans even more. The only time the tree is happy is when the boy is there. Every time the tree loses things, it gets weaker. The tree is so weak it does not know how to say no and it never will.

At the end of the book the tree is an old stump. The more the little kid gets greedier, the more the tree gets weaker. I don’t think the kid likes the tree when he gets older. And, he does not like the tree because he’s always taking the trees stuff and making it weaker. Also, when he takes the trunk he takes m+yl not m+t. She was to weak to give what he wanted from the tree. Even if the boy were to knock her down, she would not care.

As the story goes on the tree lets herself get smaller and smaller until she is only a little stump. The tree loves the boy no matter how mean he is. For example,if your best friend ignores you for a whole year, you would not like him very much if I was the tree I would not like the boy.  The more tree bends the weaker it gets and the smaller it gets. The tree is so weak! It bends so fast and the tree bends from when the boy gets greedier and needs more.

The only time the tree bends back is when it is happy and it is not happy very much- only when the boy is there. The boy wants to get away from the tree and when the tree thinks about that it gets weaker. One time he made a boat with the trunk and he said he wanted to get far away from the tree. The only reason why the tree is strong sometimes is because the boy is there. Also when the boy is weak, the tree is weak. Last of all the only thing the tree wants is the see the boy.

I believe that The Giving Tree  is a great book for kids and for all because it’s all about how strong it is or how weak the tree is. I think it is a good book to read. I hope if your read it, remember the tree is weak!
