Keep The Candy   


Some people believe that candy should no longer be manufactured but I strongly disagree. Did you know that cotton candy can be used to create artificial blood vessels? In fact, some candy even has health benefits, like reducing stress, helping you to focus and adding antioxidants to your diet. To all the people who think candy is bad, I’m going to prove we should have candy in our lives. I think we should keep candy because its good for you.


One of the best candies that you can eat is chocolate! It is full of heart healthy antioxidants. Scientists say a few pieces of chocolate a day is good for you because it has antioxidants and flavonoids that help you. Chocolate helps prevent diseases that attack the heart. Cocoa slows the growth of cancer. Dark chocolate is good for you in lots of ways because it heals you. People think that candy is bad for you but chocolate is good for you.


Candies other than chocolate can be good for you. Chewing gum is another candy that has health benefits. Studies have found that the chewing motion helps your brain to stay alert. It can also reduce stress and anxiety. Every student should be given a piece of gum before they have to take a test. It will allow us to get better scores and not be so stressed out. In addition, it has even been found to block pain, like when you are getting a shot at the doctor’s office . More reasons that candy should stay!


Another candy that is beneficial to people is hard candy. It comes in many flavors, like peppermint, butterscotch, cinnamon, peppermint and more!!! Scientists have found that if you can't eat protein and fiber, candy can produce a similar effect by increasing your blood sugar. It has been found that sucking on hard candy can improve self-control and willpower. It can also help you to focus and control impulses. If we were able to eat candy at school, it would help us while we are learning, to pay attention to the teachers and not talk out!


There are many reasons to keep candy in our lives. Gum, chocolate and even hard candies can actually help your health. They can also help you to not get stressed and to learn. Harvard found that people who regularly eat candy live longer than those who don’t. That’s why we should keep the candy. So eat candy to stay healthier, smarter, happier and for a long life!
