Safety Comes First

Excerpt from Gymnastics

In gymnastics there is a lot of equipment. These two things are optional. You could get a knee brace or a heel brace if it hurts in these very places. You need this because we do a lot of things that you have to go upside down and sometimes you hit the ground too hard, or you have a problem you have been diagnosed with a problem with your knee or heel.

Something else you might need is chalk. This helps you on bars so you don’t get a rip. A rip is your skin opens up because you have been spending too much time on the bar.  Something similar to chalk is a grip. It prevents rips and lets you get a grip on the bar. That’s why it is called a grip. Another piece of equipment for bars is called a wrist protector/ bandages . These will help you with your strength.

Last but not least, you need to get some kind of drink so you don’t get dehydrated.
