I Am a  Cat


I am a cat.
I wonder when it is lunchtime.
I hear Daisy cleaning.
I see my opponent approaching.
I want to tackle her.
I am ready to pounce.

I pretend I will not pounce.
I feel like a queen,
I touch the cold floor.
I understand Gabby is ready to play,
I say, “Meow.”
I dream I am the queen of the house!

I Am My Brother


I wonder why I get up at 7am.
I hear the alarm clock.                 
I see my tired legs get out of bed.
I want to stay in my comfy bed.
I am going to school sadly.

I pretend I’m still asleep.
I feel mad when I have to get out of my cozy bed.
I understand I have to get out of bed at some point.
I say,  “I’m too tired to get out of bed.”  But somehow I still go to school.
I dream about staying home.

I Am Mr. Gold



I am Mr.Gold.
I wonder who will find me.
I hear I am super rare.
I see the shiny gold wrapping.
I want to be on display.
I am worth $2000.


I pretend to be a plane minifigure.
I feel my packaging.
I touch my secure safety bag.
I understand there are 5000 of me.
I say, “I am rare.”
I dream to be found.

I Am a Tree

I am a tree.
I wonder why kids climb on me.
I hear my hair waving.
I see a house in my head.
I want to move around.
I am staying still, though.

I pretend to grow big and strong.
I feel pressured.
I touch the moist dirt.
I understand why kids love me.
I say “Ouch!” when people climb on me.
I dream of tomorrow. :)

I wonder why my head is smelly.
I hear stomping.
I see pitch black.
I want to kick the soccer ball.
I am very very smelly.

I pretend I don't smell anything.
I feel a wet sock.
I touch a sweaty black sock.
I understand why I feel so sweaty.
I say ,¨Why did I have to be chosen?¨

I dream of being a soccer ball.

I wonder where I am going.
I see the goal ahead.
I want to survive.
I am flying towards the goal.

I pretend I’m not scared.
I feel very hurt.
I touch the goalie's gloves.
I understand they are sad.
I say good-bye to the goalie gloves.
I dream to hit the net.

I am a soccer ball.
I wonder why my spots are black.
I hear the crowd cheering.
I see the open players.
I want to be in a safe and sound goal.
I am going to be passed all around the field.

I pretend to be an armadillo rolling on the ground.
I feel all the cleats.
I touch the fresh cut grass.
I understand I get all dirty.
I say, "Stop! I’m dizzy” with a mouthful of grass.

I dream to be alive.

I am a skate board.
I wonder how fast I can go.
I hear my wheels scraping the pavement.
I see a ramp.
I want to show off.
I am speeding up the ramp.

I pretend I can fly.
I feel so cool.
I touch the tip of the ramp.
I understand how to go down the ramp carefully.
I say, “Lets do it!”

I dream I am going to win a 7-foot trophy.

I Am a Skate Board


I am a skate board.
I wonder why I roll.
I hear the rumbling of my wheels.
I see a hill.
I don’t want to go down it.
I hate hills.

I love my rider, though.
I feel good now.
I feel the hill coming.
I say, “Wheeeeeeeee!”.

I am a pencil sharpener.
I  wonder what  pencils are thinking about.
I hear the pencil being sharpened.
I see the pencils being frightened.
I want to be a human.
I am going to taste the shavings.


I pretend to be happy.
I feel so mistreated.
I touch the pencil shavings.
I understand that I am a pencil sharpener.
I say thank goodness that the shavings are gone.
I dream of taking a break during the school day.

I am a mirror.
I wonder why they are looking at me.
I hear my glass shaking.
I see people looking at me.
I want everyone to notice me instead of themselves.
I am copying peoples’ image.


I pretend to be you.
I feel your smile.
I touch your soul.
I understand you like to look at yourself.
I say what a beautiful you.

I dream about who I will see next.:)

I am a Lego.
I wonder why people build things with me.
I hear children playing & screaming.
I see children approaching.
I want to not be touched.
I am going to be played with.

I pretend I’m invisible.
I feel awesome, though.
I touch a child’s hand.
I understand I must be built.
I say, “Hi” to the other Legos.

I dream I will get built into a life-sized dragon.

I am a hockey puck.
I wonder if I am going into the goal or the goalie’s glove.
I hear the slap of the stick.
I see the goalie and the players.
I want to get into the goalie glove.
I am scared when I land in the goal.

I pretend to not get scared.
I feel the ice and the sticks.
I touch the goalie’s glove and equipment.
I understand that I have to be brave.
I say, “Ahhh !!!!!”
I dream that I will be a star.

I am a guinea pig.
I wonder what those people are doing.
I hear lots of talking.
I see giant feet.
I Want Those People to stop talking.
I am Unstoppable.


I pretend to be a runner.
I feel my bedding.
I touch my food.
I understand that humans act silly.
I say, “ I wish that my owner could talk to me.”
I dream of ruling the world.

I say “ Bye, Bye “ to the kids when they leave .

I dream I will be able to talk one day.

I feel my soft fur rubbing against me.
I touch my water. It is really wet.
I understand that my owners  love me.
I say meow. I wish they would understand me.

I dream all the time about catching mice.
