Full with the springtime rainfall.

A Springtime Haiku

Sunny days, green grass

Roses and poppies in bloom.

Swimming, soccer fun.

Spring allergies make us sneeze

Animals are born.

Lots of mud and rocks,

Fruity ice pops cool us down.

Migration’s End
A Springtime Haiku

Back from migration-
Finding food for their babies.
Birds are making nests

Blue jays and robins
Both are neighbors with the squirrels.
They are laying eggs.

Getting seeds and worms,
Looking for the perfect twig.
Spring is coming soon.

A very cold stream,
Fat with melting snow and ice
Hissing over rocks.

Rushing down the falls
With a very steady beat.
Streaming to a pond.

Lots of water plants
A big body of water
A new season came!

Makeda A.

Spring Song
A Springtime Haiku

Robins chirp and sing,
Making nests with mud and sticks.
Bluebirds sing sweetly.

Flash of blue and orange.
A tasty treat, in its beak

Open mouths stretch up.

Soccer Cleats and Shin Guards
A Springtime Haiku

Soccer cleats, shin guards!
Kids put on their uniforms.
Balls fly toward the net.

Cleats run across fields
Ripping grass up from the ground.
Who will score the goal?

One ball in the net-
Our team wins the game today.
All players shake hands.

Snacks are served, come eat!
Teams say bye to referee.

Hopping in cars to go.

Frogs like to swim in a pond
Roses bloom in spring.

The sun is shining.
Warming up the air and ground.
The days are longer.
